Steph “The Genie” Franklin from Simply Marvelous BBQ has 19 Grand Championships and Reserve Grand Championships, numerous category 1st place finishes, 700+ overall scores and was named the California BBQ Association Team of the Year in 2014.

During this KCBS techniques class, “The Genie” will be covering: meat selection, trimming, injections, marinades, rubs, hot & fast technique, sauces, and box building. The class is perfect for all levels of competitors from beginners to advanced.

Class will run from 6:00pm – 9:00pm on Friday, and continues on Saturday from 6:00am - 3:00pm.  Surf & Turf dinner will be served on Friday, as well as breakfast on Saturday. Snacks and beverages will be available throughout.

There are no refunds for the class unless the class is cancelled but your spot is transferable (please contact us for details about transfers). This class is limited to 24 seats and is first-come, first-served. Due to the nature of the payment system, the class may get overbooked. All payments made after the first 24 seats are filled will be refunded through PayPal. For CBBQA members, don’t forget to choose the CBBQA Member option to receive a $50.00 discount. Non-members who register using the discount will have their registration cancelled and their payment returned. We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone. Students will be asked to sign a general waiver of liability form.
